Box 1 contains the original, 32-page holograph manuscript of the screenplay for THE FORGOTTEN VILLAGE in Steinbeck's hand, twenty-five letters to Herbert Kline, a 30-page hand-made album of on-location production photographs assembled by Rosa Kline, Herbert Kline's wife, and over 100 photographic stills representing over 50 stills from the film. Box 2 (accession # 2003-279) contains reviews from newspapers around the country, as well as 2 related letters. The loose clippings have been photocopied for preservation purposes; the rest of the collection is glued into scrapbook pages.
